v2 Moonlight

Today we are announcing v2 of Nubo (aka Moonlight). This release focuses primarily on design and aesthetics. We are introducing a totally new design system that aligns more with our values. Moonlight is also accompanied by new branding - a shiny new logo, color palette, and typography. Below we will go further in detail regarding these changes.

New branding, who dis?

New Logo

Earlier this month, we launched our new logo on our social medias. This logo combines two critical aspects of what makes Nubo, Nubo. At a glance, it is code brackets surrounded by a ring. On a deeper level it combines our love for code and our fascination by outer space. We feel as though it combines a level of uniqueness and simplicity which is the main objectives for Moonlight.

Why the wardrobe change?

Version 1 was all about proof of concept. It was a minimally viable, working product that transformed code into working applications, accessible to end users. We spent a while meeting with users, hearing feedback, and iterating to build a better product. We now feel it is time to align our designs with what we have always envisioned for Nubo.

While others may not value design, it is essential for us as a company. We feel that it is critical in connecting with users and expressing our vision. A vision that is bold, vibrant, and provides both flexibility and simplicity. Moonlight is just the beginning.

Important information

1. Terminology has not changed. Your Projects, Spaces, and Frames will still remain unchanged and require no additional configuration.
2. Metrics will be temporarily disabled.
3. Custom domains will be reworked. Previously configured domains will continue to work, but creating new domains will be temporarily suspended.

In the coming weeks we be ironing out any issues and focusing on refinement. We will also launch additional configuration pages and necessary features. Report any issues to [email protected].
